Answer» Shaivism (/ˈʃaɪvɪzəm/) is one of the major TRADITIONS within Hinduism that worships Lord Shiva, also called Rudra,[1][2] as the SUPREME Being.[3][4][5] It is considered to be the oldest living religion in the world.[6][7] One of the largest Hindu denominations,[8][9] It incorporates many sub-traditions ranging from devotional dualistic THEISM such as Shaiva Siddhanta to yoga-oriented monistic non-theism such as Kashmiri Shaivism.[10][11][12] It considers both the Vedas and the AGAMA TEXTS as important sources of theology.[13][14][15] |
