Answer» Sita was a servant’s daughter whose mother had left her when she was in the suckling state. But her wedding was a family celebration as it had the full support of the mistress. But the mistress had watched the festivities with a sad heart. She could not forget Sita’s mother, Lakshmi especially when she was somewhere in the city. The mistress wept quietly. She felt that the parents’ presence was essential on the wedding of their daughter. सीता एक नौकर की लड़की थी जिसकी माँ उसे उस समय छोड़ कर चली गई जब वह माँ का दूध पीने की अवस्था में थी। परन्तु उसका विवाह हवेली के पर्व जैसा था क्योंकि उसे मालकिन का पूरा समर्थन था। परन्तु मालकिन ने इन खुशियों को दु:खी हृदय से देखा था। वह सीता की मां लक्ष्मी को नहीं भूल सकी और विशेषकर उस समय जबकि वह शहर में थी। वह महसूस कर रही थी कि माता-पिता की उपस्थिति उनकी बेटी के विवाह पर अति आवश्यक है। |
