Answer» central idea is the blossoming relationship between two people, which at first, flourishes, but as the day proceeds shadows and enshroud the characters idealistic vision, taunting their honesty – disillusion with one another. Light is parallel with love and truth, darkness with infidelity. Shadows are metaphorical, representing emotional detachment, their flaws, secrets distrust – conflict is internal, originating from the characters themselves – the lovers high expectations cast a shadow on the actual practical approach. |
