Critical appreciation of the cold within |
|
Answer» Answer: Explanation:When people stop discriminating against cast and colour it will be the brigjtest day on the history of mankind; but most of us are busy in THINKING only about ourselves in taking revenge , arguing making fun of others ragging, bullying others and making yourself the winner. Life has become a challenging stage where people are jealous or spiteful or malicious , etc. These are the things the poet warns us against in the poem. The poem STARTS with a group of six people who are trapped in EXTREME cold weather. They are sitting AROUND a fore which is about to die each of the "forlorn" group bear a wooden birch but none of them give it on the fire because of their own web of prejudices and selfishness and some other thought which does not make them think of anything beyond themselves. In the end the fire dies and all the six of them die. If one of them WOULD have given his/her stick in the fire then the others would've joined but these people lacked the basic human trait of love for fellow human beings and so none of them died from the cold weather outside but from the coldness inside their heart. |
