1.

(d) Electrolytic dissociation and thermal dissociation.

Answer»

ELECTROLYTIC DISSOCIATION:The process due to which an ionic compound dissociates into ions in the fused state or in aqueous solution is called electrolytic dissociation. It is a reversible process.Dissociates into charged particles i.e. ions. Electrodes help to attract oppositely charged ions.

THERMAL DISSOCIATION:The decomposition of a compound into its element by heat is called thermal dissociation. It is not a reversible process. Ions are not found. Electrodes are not present.
