Answer» (a) Malleable metals: The metals which can be hammered or rolled into thin sheets are called malleable metals. Examples: Gold, silver, lead, etc. (b) Elastomers: The materials which can be elastically stretched to large values of strain are called elastomers. They have large elastic region but do not obey Hooke’s law. Example: Rubber and elastic tissue of aorta. |
