| Answer» Chrysophytes are freshwater algae which are generally found in water having low level of calcium. It contains light harvesting complex like chlorophyll a and c, xanthophylls, beta-carotene, fucoxanthin etc. Thats why they are photosynthetic and can produce their own food, hence they are chief producers in oceans. | |
