Define limiting reactant

Answer» In simple we can say that after doing the reaction the things which are not used are called limiting reagents
The lesser amount of reactant and product are consumed after some time is called limiting reagent
It is that reagent which consumed earlier in the reaction.
n a chemical reaction, reactant which is present in the lesser amount gets consumed after sometime and after that no further reaction takes place whatever be the amount of the other reactant present. Hence, the reactant which gets consumed, limits the amount of product formed and is, therefore, called the limiting reagent.
