Answer» The difference between the specific heat of a gas at constant pressure( cp ) and its specific heat at constant( cv ) volume is equal to the universal gas constant(R) divided by the molecular weight(M) of the gas. i.e. cp−cv=RM .This relation is known. as Mayer\'s formula.
