Answer» Solution :Many of the substances present around you are mixtures. Example: Suger solution, air, tea etc. A mixture contains TWO or more substances present in it are called its components. A mixture MAY be two types : (i) Homogeneous (ii) Heterogeneous Homogeneous mixture : The components completely mix with with each other and its COMPOSITION is UNIFORM throughout. e.g. Sugar solution, and air Heterogeneous mixtures : This composition is not uniform throughout and sometimes the different components can be observed. e.g. The mixtures of salt and sugar, grains and PULES along with some dirt( often stone) pieces. The components of a mixture can be separated by using physical methods such as simple hand picking, filtration, crystallisation, distillation etc.
