Answer» Physical quantities can be divided into two types : (i) Scalar quantity : Any physical quantity, which can be completely specified by its magnitude alone, a scalar quantity or a scalar. Eg : Charge, distance, area, speed, time, temperature, density, volume, work, power, energy, pressure, potential etc. (ii) Vector quantity : Any physical quantity, which required direction in addition to its magnitude it known as a vector quantity. Eg.: Displacement, velocity, acceleration, force, momentum, weight and electric field etc. |
