A complete layer is carried along with water in a larger area. It is called sheet erosion. (ii) Soil Conservation: It refers to the steps taken to protect the soil from erosion. It aims at prevention as well as reclamation of soil that has been damaged by natural phenomenon or due to exploitation and improvishment over centuries. (iii) In Situ Soil: When the soil remains at the place of its formation it is called in situ soil. e.g. Black Soil.
