Answer» Explanation: Accountable, Legitimate and Responsive form of Government :-- In a democracy, people have their own rights under Universal Adult Franchise / Suffrage to ELECT their own rulers that's the basics if democracy.
- The First outcome:- It produces a government that is accountable or accessible to citizens and must respond to the needs of the people whenever needed on time.
- "Democracy is BASED on the idea of deliberation and negotiation".
- For a non democratic ruler, it doesn't matter about ELECTIONS and majority, because country runs in his rule, not the people's rules. Now, let us have a case that a government takes decisions very fast but they are inappropriate. That is not the government we want. But if a government takes decisions which are time consuming but are correct, so we can say this as legitimate government. That's the outcome we expect.
- A citizen may want to judge how a decision is made in democracy. That transparency should be available in the democratic government.
- Regular, free and fair elections are also an outcome that one searches for and must be there in democracy.
- At LAST, democracy ensures that the decisions taken is free of CORRUPTION or not, but currently this evil hasn't been removed yet
But you can't expect a non democratic regime as it is obvious that it has corruption.
