Answer» Amoeba eats tiny plants and animals present in pond WATER. The body of Amoeba has finger-like projections called pseudopodia which ingests the FOOD. When a food particle comes near Amoeba, the pseudopodia surrounds the food particles and trap the food with a little water forming a food vacuole inside its body. The surrounding cytoplasm secretes DIGESTIVE enzymes into the food vacuole which acts on the food and thus it GETS DIGESTED |
