Weeds can be removed by spraying herbicides or by removing them mechanically. e.g. Xanthium Diseases in plants are caused by pathogens such as bacteria, fungi and viruses. Pathogens can be controlled by spraying herbicides, fungicides, insecticides etc. Preventive methods such as proper seed bed preparation, timely sowing of crops, intercropping and crop rotation also help in weed control.
