On the other hand, the peninsular rivers such as Chambal, Betwa, Ken and Son etc. joining Ganga river system, also contribute to the FORMATION of northern plains. After REACHING West Bengal, Ganga splits into many branches like Hugli river which merges in Bay of Bengal. |
