It is considerably higher than the surrounding area. Y.S.R. Kadapa, Chittoor, Kurnool, and Vijayanagaram districts have stretches of hilly terrain which we can see as pockets of scattered hills called the Eastern Ghats. Arakuloya, Borra caves of Vishakhapatnam district, and Papikondalu of East and West Godavari are the famous tourist places in the mountain region.
