Answer» The cotton fibre is FIRST PLUCKED from the fields and CLEANED MANUALLY. Then they are spereated by a carding machine which stretches them in somewhat parallel formwhich then passes through a funnel-shaped device. The main motive is to turn the yarn smoother and finer. The process is called SPINNING.
