Excretion in plants:-

1. TRANSPIRATION:- Excess of water is removed from plant through transpiration.

2.Old Leaves :- Waste products are STORED in leaves that soon fall off.

3.Bark:- Bark consists of dead cells which stores waste products and are peeled off occasionally.

4. Central Vacoule:- Most of the waste are stored in central vacoule of cells. They can't hamper the WORKING of CELL due to presence of Tonoplast.

5.Root:- Some substances are excreted through roots.

6. Old Xylem:- Both gums and Resins are waste products of the plant. They are deposited on old xylem which soon becomes non-functional.

  • Resins
  • Gums.
  • Excess oxygen FORMED at the time of photosynthesis
