Answer» Polar winds have the following characteristics: 1. These winds move from polar regions towards sub-polar regions. 2. In the northern hemisphere, the direction of these winds is from the north – east to the south – west and in the southern hemisphere, it is from south – east to north – west. 3. These winds are extremely cold and dry due to blowing from cold polar regions. 4. Due to low temperature, their ability to absorb water vapor is also low. |
