Answer» Ashoka’s religious policy was based on tolerance. He had adopted a liberal policy towards all the religions. Ashoka emphasized on good behaviour in the life and declared animal sacrifice as a punishable crime. In order to maintain brotherhood and unity among the people of various religions, Ashoka provided moralistic education to them and inspired the people to behave decently with others. In his religious policy, Ashoka included daily routine policies like not to fight with neighbours, and have amicable relations with the followers of other religions. |
