Describe the works of Samudragupta. |

Answer» Samudragupta was the son and heir of Chandragupta-I. Shortly after becoming the ruler of Magadh, he defeated all the kings of northern India and expanded his empire in the south and north-east also. Samudragupta occupied a large land part of India and organized the Ashwamedh Yagya. Samugragupta’s regime was the Golden Period of Gupta Empire both with political as well as cultural point of view. Samudragupta had provided protection to various musicians and scholars in his court. |
