Difference between Double salt and coordination compounds |
|
Answer» Double salts are those molecular or addition compounds which exist in a solid state but dissociate into constituents ions when dissolved in water Ex. Mohr salt FeSO4(NH4)2SO4⋅6H2O. Coordination compounds are those molecular or addition compounds which retained their identity in aqueous solution and shows property entirely different from their constituent ions. Ex. Potassium ferrocyanide K4[Fe(CN)6]. |
