Difference between three states of matter

Answer» Solids have a definite shape, distinct boundaries & fixed volume, that is , have negligible compressibility . Solids have a tendency to maintain their shape when subjected to outside force . So they are RIGID .Liquids have a fixed volume but not a fixed shape . They take up the shape of the container in which they are kept . Liquids flow &change shape , so they are not rigid they are fluid .Gases don\'t have a definite shape or volume. They are highly compressible. They also take the shape of the container in which they are kept. They also flow , so they are also called fluids.
Solid have definite shape and volume and are incompressible.Liquid have definite volume but not definite shape and it is almost incompressible.Gases have not definite shape and volume and highly incompressible.Solid posses rigidity and liquid and gases posses fluidiy .
