◆ They are on the continental crust portion.
◆ Lower part (or the base part) composed of SOLID layers.
◆ Interplate tectonics result in the formation of such plateaus.

VOLCANIC PLATEAU :-
◆ They can occur anywhere except the regions of erosion (deflation, abrasion, etc.)
◆ Lower part (or the base part) do not composed of any layers.
◆ Volcanic ERUPTION leading to the formation of LAVA sheets when gets solidified b, volcanic plateaus are formed.
