Interim budget - it a summary of expenses expected by the govt. in next few MONTHS . The interim budget helps the span the transition time between the two govt. , entrusting the FULL responsibility of full budget on the new govt.

vote - on - account is a special provision by which the govt. obtains parliament's approval for funds sufficient to incur expenditure for PART of the year ( TILL the formation of new govt.) ENABLING it to incur expenses till a full budget is prepared
