Differences between acute and chronic diseases. |
|
Answer» Answer: Acute conditions are severe and SUDDEN in onset. This could describe anything from a broken bone to an asthma attack. A chronic condition, by contrast is a long-developing SYNDROME, such as osteoporosis or asthma. Note that osteoporosis, a chronic condition, may cause a broken bone, an acute condition. Acute DISEASE is a condition or a disorder that comes on or ONSETS rapidly and lasts for a shorter period of TIME. Chronic disease is a condition or a disorder that persists for a longer period of time or has long-lasting health effects. |
