Cell wall :-

Cell wall is present in plant cells.

It lies on the outer SIDES of the cells.

It is thick and non living in plant cells.

It is rigid and generally permeable.

It is MADE up of pectin,cellulose and hemicellulose.

It provides strength and protection to the cell.

Cell membrane :-

It is present in both plant and animal cells.

It lies on the exterior of the animal cells and on the interior to the cell wall in plant cells.

It is thin and living.

It is FLEXIBLE and selectively permeable.

It is made up of lipids,protein and carbohydrates present in a SMALL number.

It holds the cellular contents and CONTROLS the passage of material in and out of the cells.
