(i) Monomers are unsaturated molecules(i) Monomers have di or polyfunctional groups.
(ii) Involves chain reaction(ii) Does not involve chain reaction.
(iii) Formed by adding monomers to a growing chain without loss of any molecules. Examples: Polyethene, Polystyrene, Teflon etc.(iii) Monomers combine together with the loss of molecules like H2O, NH3, etc. Examples: Terylene, Bakelite, Nylon-66, etc.
