Wavelength (λ) : Wavelength is not the number of complete vibrations made by a vibrating particle but it is the distance covered by one wave. It is also defined as the shortest distance between two particles vibrating in the same phase. Its S.I. unit is metre, while that of frequency is in hertz. λ = γ/ f
