Let Rohit’s present age be x Age of Rohit’s father = x + 24 We get a relation between their ages but not the exact value So, Statement I alone is not sufficient Statement II. Let Rohit’s age be 2x Age of Rohit’s father = 5x Again we get a relation between their ages but not the exact values So, Statement II alone is not sufficient Combining Statement I and Statement II 2x + 24 = 5x So, solving it we will get the exact values of their present ages and sum of their ages after 10 years could be calculated ∴ Both statements together are needed to answer the question |
