Answer» In case of fracture, provide first-aid treatment and then help them get professional care immediately. The steps for first aid are: (a) Stop any bleeding: In case of bleeding, elevate and apply pressure to the wound using a sterile bandage, a clean cloth, or a clean piece of clothing. (b) Immobilize the injured area: If there is broken bone in neck or back, help the patient stay as still as possible. If there is broken bone in one of the limbs, immobilize the area using a splint or sling. (c) Apply cold to the area: Wrap an ice pack or bag of ice cubes in a piece of cloth and apply it to the injured area for up to 10 minutes at a time. (d) Treat them for shock: Help the patient get into a comfortable position, encourage to rest, and reassure. Cover with a blanket or clothing to keep warm.
