Discuss the steps taken by the govt. In india to ensure the independence of judiciary. |
| Answer» The Indian Constitution has ensured the independence of the judiciary like in all modern democracies. Independence of judiciary ensures no influence or interference from government or the party in power. As per the Indian Constitution, the judges of the Supreme Court and the High Courts are appointed by the President of India. However, the President consults the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice of Supreme Court. Hence, the judiciary is independent of influences and intereference from the government. | |
