Answer» The theme of the poem underlines the importance of noble nature and noble deeds in human life. The poem shows that a man small in size and with a short life span can also be great and attractive like a lily of a day in comparison to an oak tree which lives for a longer period without use. कविता की विषय-वस्तु मानव जीवन में उत्तम स्वभाव और श्रेष्ठ कर्मों के महत्व को रेखांकित करती है। यह कविता दर्शाती है कि अल्पायु व्यक्ति भी लम्बे किन्तु अनुपयोगी जीवन वाले ओक वृक्ष की अपेक्षा मात्र एक दिन खिलने वाले लिली के पुष्प की तरह महत्वपूर्ण एवं आकर्षक हो सकता है। |
