Distribution functions

Answer»

Distribution function, mathematical expression that describes the probability that a system will take on a specific value or set of values. The classic examples are associated with games of chance. The binomial distribution gives the probabilities that heads will come up a times and tails n − a times (for 0 ≤ a ≤ n), when a fair coin is tossed n times.
