1.	Do you agree with the statement “All ores are minerals but all minerals need not be ores”. Why?
Answer» Yes, I agree with the statement. The elements or compounds of the metals which occur in nature in the earth’s crust are called minerals whereas ore is a mineral from which the metal is profitably extracted. It is because metal cannot be extreacted from mineral in a convenient way. Eg: Aluminium metal is found in both mineral - clay and bauxite. But aluminium is extracted only from bauxite in a convenient way. So bauxite is not ore of aluminium.

Yes, I agree with the statement. The elements or compounds of the metals which occur in nature in the earth’s crust are called minerals whereas ore is a mineral from which the metal is profitably extracted.

It is because metal cannot be extreacted from mineral in a convenient way.

Eg: Aluminium metal is found in both mineral -
clay and bauxite.

But aluminium is extracted only from bauxite in a convenient way. So bauxite is not ore of aluminium.
