Answer» Merit-It helped to improve the relations between muslim league and INDIAN national congress. it showed british that they couldn’t expect any kind of support from their side if they will not be given absolute self govt. it helped to set up several self governing institutions , muslims and hindus forgetting traditional differences, united to fight against british. they maintained a united front.
