Answer» animals are heterotropic becoz they can't prepare their own food. they depend on the plants which are AUTOTROPIC and on other ANIMAL for their food. plants can prepare their own food with out DEPENDING on others. but animals can't do that.so they are HETEROTROPHIC i think this is the answer..........I hope this helps u
