Answer» BALKAN POLITICS: • Balkan peninsula is an area in Europe continent. • Balkan is comprised of people of different sects and different cultures. • Balkan refers to present day Macedonia, ALBANIA, Serbia etc. • It was under the Ottoman Empire for a long period of TIME. • But later the people of that area started proliferating from Ottoman Empire. • They formed their own kingdoms and started hatring each other. • In this situation, many countries like Russia, Turkey, FRANCE etc wanted to control over this region. • These politics GAVE rise to the tensions in this region. • A series of wars were took place and FINALLY, this led to the first World war.
