ve System:The system responsible for the digestion of food in our body is known as digestive system.Parts of Digestive System:1.Mouth:The mouth has teeth, tongue and SALIVARY glands. Here the food enters the mouth.2.Salivary Glands:They produce saliva and pour it into the mouth.3.Oesophagus:It is a muscular tube which help food move to stomach by paristalsis.4.Stomach:It is a muscular BAG which stores food for a short TIME. It mixes the food with acidic digestive juices.5.Liver:It produces bile which break up oil drop lets to make them EASIER to digest.6.Gall Bladder:It stores bile before pouring it into the duodenum.7.Pancreas:It produces pancreatic juice which is poured into the duodenum.8.Small Intestine:Small intestine has following two parts:Duodenum:It is the first part of small intestine where semi-liquid food is mixed with pancreatic juice and bile.Ileum:It is the LONGEST part of the small intestine where digested food is absorbed into the blood.9.Large Intestine:It absorbs water, minerals and some vitamins from the undigested food.10.Rectum:It stores faeces before their excreation.11.Anus:It is the exsit for faeces.
