To fulfil his ever increasing needs and for economic development, man is exploiting nature intensively which is causing environment imbalance.

 Main causes are given below : 

  • Destruction of flora and fauna. 
  • Replacing indigenous living plants and organisms with foreign plants and animals. 
  • Change in the components of the ecosystem for development. 
  • Extensive use of pesticides and insecticides. 
  • Change in the ratio of gases in the environment. 
  • Environmental pollution, etc.
