Explain the concept of continuous charge distribution. |
Answer» i. A system of charges can be considered as a continuous charge distribution, if the charges are located very close together, compared to their distances from the point where the intensity of electric field is to be found out. ii. Thus, the charge distribution is said to be continuous for a system of closely spaced charges. It is treated equivalent to a total charge which is continuously distributed along a line or a surface or a volume. |
