1. Stance is the position in which a batsman stands in order to have the ball bowled to him. An ideal stance is 40 cm apart from the feet, parallel and astride the crease. 

2. A full-toss is a cricket ball bowled that reaches the batsman without bouncing. 

3. A Run is an approach run taken by bowler during bowling. 

4. A sweep shot is played similar to the pull shot except it is played with the backmost knee on the ground so as to hit balls which bounce low.
