Charging is a foul called when an offensive player collides with a defensive player who is stationary and has both feet firmly planted on the floor. 4. Held ball is called when two opponents have or two hands so firmly the ball that neither can gain possession without roughness. It is also called when a player in the front court is so closely guarded that he cannot play for a goal.
