1.	Explain the importance- and distribution of well irrigation.
Answer» Well irrigation is the most important type of irrigation in India. Nearly 60.7% of the total irrigated area is from well irrigation. Well irrigation is possible even in areas of low rainfall, it is cheap and easy to dig wells and they do not required superior technology. It is easy even for small farmers to dig wells.
