Answer» Red Cross Society came into existence in India in 1920. It is a humanitarian voluntary organization and has nearly 700 branches across the State and Union Territories. The Indian President is its Chairman and Governor is the President in the State. A Secretary-General is its administrative officer. It has an administrative body consisting of 19 members and a secretary. The President nominates six members and the remaining 12 members are elected from the State and Union Territories. |
