Explanation : Mahmood has become very old and Ali is very young. So, the writer makes a comparison between Mahmood and banyan tree and Ali and mimosa. He says that the twisted hands of Mahmood are like the roots of banyan tree. Ali is like a young mimosa plant and he will get strength and confindence as he grows.
