Answer» 'Quality Factor’ of resonance in series LCR circuit is the ratio of resonant frequency to frequency band width of the resonant curve. Q = ωr / (ω₂ – ω₁ ) = ωrL/R From the above expression, it is clear that smaller the value of R, larger the quality factor, sharper the resonance. So, quality factor determines the nature of the sharpness of resonance. Therefore quality factor does not have SI unit.

From the above expression, it is clear that smaller the value of R, larger the quality factor, sharper the resonance. So, quality factor determines the nature of the sharpness of resonance.
