Answer» With special techniques called assisted reproductive technologies, infertile couple could be assisted to have children. ART includes i) In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF): It is transfer of an ovum collected from a donot into the fallopian tube of another female for fertilisation and further development ii) Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer (ZIFT): Ova from (female) and sperms from husband/donor (male) are collected and are induced to form zygote under simulated conditions in laboratory. The Zygote with upto 8 blastomeres is then transferred into the fallopian tube. iii) Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): Here the sperm is directly injected into the ovum.
