- Kibla: The hall where namaz is performed, called Kibla. It will always face the direction of Kaba of Mecca.
- Livan: The room in a mosque with pillars is called livan. .
- Maksura: End of the mosque wall is Maksura. It is seperated by a railing.
- Mahab: The interior part of mosque wall which is of human height and indicates correct direction of’Mecca is known as Mahrab. In India, Mahrab is generally kept in west.
- Sahan: The campus of mosque where the followers of Islam get together for prayer is known as Sahan.
